Terms of Service

Effective April 25, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Doorstep Ministry (“we,” “us,” or “our”) covering your access to and use of our website, software, and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms.

1. The Service

Doorstep Ministry is a multi-tenant web application that helps churches plan and record door-to-door outreach visits, manage neighborhoods and team members, schedule follow-ups, and review activity statistics. The Service is provided to your church (“Customer”) under the subscription plan you select.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to bind your church to these Terms in order to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

Two account roles exist within each church: Admin (manages billing, settings, neighborhoods, and team members) and Member (logs visits and uses the field tools). The first user to create a church becomes its Admin. Admins may invite or remove team members at any time.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, harassing, deceptive, or harmful purpose.
• Record information about anyone without a legitimate ministry reason or in violation of applicable law.
• Attempt to access another church’s data, bypass security controls, or interfere with the Service’s operation.
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the Service.
• Upload content that infringes the rights of others, contains malware, or is otherwise inappropriate.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. Subscription, trial, and payment

New churches receive a 14-day free trial. After the trial, continued use of the Service requires a paid subscription at one of our published tiers (Starter, Growing, or Multi-Campus). Each tier has a stated monthly price and team-member limit; current pricing is shown at doorstepministry.com.

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor (Stripe). Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the payment method on file at the start of each billing period until you cancel.

5. Cancellation & refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain access until then. We do not generally provide refunds for partial months. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we’ll work with you in good faith.

If you stop paying, we may suspend access to the Service. After 60 days of non-payment we may delete your church’s data; we will give you reasonable opportunity to export it first.

6. Your data

Your church owns the data it enters into the Service (households, visits, photos, etc.). We process that data on your behalf in order to provide the Service, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You grant us the rights necessary to host, transmit, and display your data so the Service can function (including showing it to other authorized users in your church).

You are responsible for the legality of the data you collect and for honoring requests from the people whose information you record (for example, deleting a household at someone’s request).

7. Intellectual property

All software, design, and content of Doorstep Ministry (excluding your data) is owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription. We retain all other rights.

8. Service availability

We aim to make the Service available around the clock but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, third-party outages (Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, Mapbox), and unforeseen events may cause downtime. Where possible, we will provide advance notice of planned maintenance.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT DATA STORED IN THE SERVICE WILL ALWAYS BE PRESERVED. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR EXPORTING IMPORTANT DATA REGULARLY.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOORSTEP MINISTRY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your data, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if your subscription becomes seriously past due. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, governing law) will continue to apply.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State in which Doorstep Ministry maintains its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located there, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, send you a notice. Your continued use of the Service after the change means you accept the updated Terms.
